This development follows the trend set by other Chinese manufacturers like Honor and Xiaomi, who are focusing on devices with extended battery life. The use of advanced silicon-carbon technology allows these companies to increase battery capacity without significantly increasing the phone’s thickness. Redmi is aiming to incorporate a high-capacity battery without compromising the battery cycle life, while maintaining a thickness of under 8.5mm. If these claims are accurate, this phone will feature the largest battery in Redmi’s current smartphone lineup.
