The upcoming CG Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) unit in Sanand is projected to produce roughly five billion semiconductor chips per year once it reaches full capacity. The ₹7,500 crore investment will enable a complete value‑chain offering – from wafer sorting and assembly to rigorous testing, package engineering, failure analysis and product characterisation. The output is targeted at meeting the requirements of automotive, industrial, telecom, 5G, IoT, AI and high‑performance computing applications, strengthening India's position in the global chip value chain.
