The automotive sector topped the list with a 19% increase, followed closely by healthcare (16%) and retail (15%). Insurance, IT, banking, and FMCG each contributed double‑digit growth, ranging from 10% to 12%.
BPO/ITES, oil and gas, and real‑estate added 8% each, while pharma and biotech remained flat. Hospitality and travel slipped 4%, and education fell 8%.
Entry‑level recruitment surged 15%, and professionals with 4‑7 years’ experience grew 10%. Higher‑experience brackets also saw strong gains: 8‑12 years up 16%, 13‑16 years up 18%, and 16+ years up 13%.
Analysts noted that the festive hiring window moved from August last year to September this year, a factor that should be considered when interpreting the August figures.
