Motorola, in collaboration with the Indian company Arya Omnitalk, has launched a high-tech smart sensor designed for enhanced security. The device, called Hello Smart Sensor, can monitor environments effectively without the use of cameras, making it ideal for locations where traditional CCTV systems are impractical. This includes spaces like school restrooms, hospital wards, hostel rooms, and secure areas within factories.
The sensor operates on the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Its key feature is its ability to provide surveillance without audio or video recording, thus ensuring privacy while maintaining security. Equipped with 16 different sensors, the device can detect a wide range of environmental factors, including air quality, sound levels, temperature, humidity, motion, and presence. It’s capable of identifying harmful gases such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. Furthermore, it can recognize specific activities like gunshots, loud speech, abusive language, panic words, vaping, and the presence of drugs (THC).
