Hideaki Nishino, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, noted that cloud technology faces challenges in delivering consistent network performance. He also highlighted that the hourly cost of streaming often exceeds that of console gaming. Sony aims to build upon the robust player base established by the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The company recognizes the significant interest in its future plans and is strategically positioning the PS6 as a core component of its long-term vision. Lynn Azar, Senior VP of Finance at SIE, added that Sony is exploring the evolving landscape of the PlayStation platform.
