Vodafone Idea has filed a petition in the Supreme Court concerning the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) matter. The company is requesting a recalculation of its AGR dues, specifically seeking a review of the AGR calculations prior to 2017. Vodafone Idea claims that some AGR figures have been duplicated in the calculations. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) initially demanded ₹5,960 crore, but has now increased its demand by an additional ₹2,774 crore. A notice was issued to the company on August 13, with a 15-day response deadline. AGR is a revenue term associated with telecom companies, which mandates them to pay license fees and spectrum usage charges to the government.
