WhatsApp continues to introduce new features to improve user experience. Scheduled calls, launched earlier this month, allow users to pre-plan group calls. Participants receive notifications before the call begins when invited to join.
The platform is developing a voicemail feature, enhancing user experience. This feature, spotted in the WhatsApp Android beta (v2.22.22.5), will let users check recorded messages and respond later. Apple implemented a similar voicemail feature on iPhones in India earlier this year, allowing callers to record short audio messages, which recipients can then listen to and respond to at their convenience. WhatsApp’s voicemail feature will function similarly. Additionally, a voice call reminder feature is also in development, enabling users to set reminders to return missed calls, with options for 2 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours, or custom timings.
