WhatsApp is continuously introducing new features for its users. This time, the company has introduced a new feature to improve the calling experience. Now, if you call someone on WhatsApp and the person doesn’t answer the call, you will get the option to send a voicemail directly after the call is disconnected. This feature is similar to the old voicemail system of mobile networks, but the difference is that it will now be available directly within the WhatsApp App.
How the new Voicemail feature will work:
Whenever you call a contact on WhatsApp and they don’t answer, the option ‘Leave Voicemail’ will appear on the screen. By clicking on this option, you can record a short voice message. This voice message will be delivered to the recipient in the same way as sending an audio message. As soon as the recipient opens WhatsApp, they will be able to listen to the voicemail.
Why is this feature special?
Previously, if a call was missed, the caller had to type a message to explain. Now, a voice message can be sent with just one click, allowing the matter to be explained quickly. This feature will be especially useful when the call is important but the other person is unable to answer.
Currently, WhatsApp has introduced this feature in beta testing. It will be launched on both iOS and Android platforms soon. If this feature is not visible on your phone yet, it will appear in the upcoming updates.
WhatsApp Status Updates Share
Recently, another update has been seen on the WhatsApp beta version. Users will be able to share WhatsApp statuses from any third-party app. You will not need to update separately. This feature is being launched for iOS beta users first. After some time, it may be launched for all users.
