Microsoft is preparing to release a series of new AI-powered features for Windows 11 users, focusing on enhancing the user experience. The upcoming additions include the Copilot Vision tool, designed to analyze content on the user’s screen. This feature allows users to ask questions about what’s visible or across multiple applications and webpages. Additionally, users can instruct Copilot to perform tasks such as improving the lighting in a picture. Microsoft’s consumer AI report indicates that a significant percentage of users are already leveraging generative AI for both work and personal projects. For users with Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs, the AI agent will be accessible via the Settings app. Other new features encompass an AI-powered sticker generator in Paint, an object select tool for precise image editing, an AI lighting option in Photos, and a tool for perfect screenshots. These features will begin rolling out in August, alongside non-AI enhancements such as a color picker within the Snipping Tool and a mechanism to automatically fix issues causing unexpected restarts.
