Women Represent 30% of PM-VBRSY Beneficiaries, Over 1.5 Million Receive Grants

Gender inclusion is a key pillar of PM‑VBRSY. Roughly three‑in‑ten beneficiaries are women, reflecting the government’s push for greater female participation in the formal economy.

More than 1.5 million eligible workers have already been credited with a one‑time incentive of up to ₹15,000, equivalent to one month’s EPF contribution. The payment is disbursed in two installments: the first after six months of continuous service and the second after completing twelve months and a financial‑literacy program.

A portion of the incentive is earmarked for a prescribed savings instrument, fostering a habit of saving and enhancing financial security for new earners.
