Yes, Poco is alive and it’s coming back for another stint that’s the big news in the world of smartphones and technology this month. Poco will exist as a spin-off brand for Xiaomi in India and it will continue to come with affordable phones that use flagship-grade specifications. We know this much about Poco so far from the official sources but these days, leaked information says more about a company’s launch than the official sources.
Of late, a few rumours about a new Poco device have been doing rounds on the web and from what it seems, Poco is set to follow a multi-device strategy this year. While a successor to the Poco F1 is still unknown, rumours now suggest that Poco might be launching a new affordable handset under a different series name. It will be called the Poco X2 and based on some benchmark leaks, it could be based on a phone that we already know a lot.
Poco X2: What we know about it so far
The Poco X2 is a phone that’s expected to be more affordable than the F series phones. Previous leaks have shown a midrange device with slightly older design trends, with a smaller dot drop notch in the display. Now, it seems that it will be based on a phone that’s already out in China since a few weeks the Redmi K30.
A Geekbench listing has revealed a new Poco device carrying the same code name as the Redmi K30 4G variant in China. While the listing doesn’t reveal anything else, it gives us a fair idea about the Poco X2 it could essentially be a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 4G in India.
