A 5.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Afghanistan on Thursday evening, around 10:26 pm Indian Standard Time. The tremors from the event were also felt in both India and Pakistan. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 160 kilometers. Initial reports indicated the tremors lasted only a few seconds, causing panic among residents in the affected areas. The quake’s epicenter was located at 34.58 degrees North latitude and 70.66 degrees East longitude. This was the third earthquake to hit Afghanistan within a week.
