Araghchi Urges Multilateralism Over Foreign Military Presence

In a virtual forum titled "Global U‑Turn Appeal," Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi warned that relying on foreign military forces to guarantee security in the Middle East is a flawed approach. He argued that sustainable peace can only be achieved through regional dialogue, confidence‑building measures and cooperative frameworks. Araghchi criticized the tendency of powerful nations to sideline international law for strategic gains, noting that such actions diminish the legitimacy of global institutions. He called for a stronger, more just multilateral order that respects national sovereignty while promoting development and human welfare.
