NASA has postponed the launch of the Axiom-4 mission, which was originally scheduled for June 22. The mission, carrying a crew of four to the International Space Station (ISS), including Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, will now launch on a later date. The delay allows for further assessment of the ISS’s operational status, following recent repairs to the Zvezda service module. The crew, comprising former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, pilot Shubhanshu Shukla, and mission specialists Slavoj Uznanski of Poland and Tibor Kapu of Hungary, will be transported by SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket and Dragon capsule. The mission has faced multiple postponements due to technical issues, including a liquid oxygen leak and problems within the ISS’s Russian module, before the most recent delay.
