Bangladesh-India ties highlighted in Dhaka meeting with Mahdi Amin

Dhaka – In a high‑level encounter on Thursday, Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi engaged with Mahdi Amin, the prime minister’s adviser and PMO spokesperson. The two leaders placed special emphasis on the permanent relationship forged between the citizens of Bangladesh and India.

The conversation covered a wide range of sectors, with particular attention to education, technology, and innovation collaborations. Both parties affirmed that a robust bilateral partnership is essential for shared prosperity and regional stability. The meeting was disclosed on the social media site X, where Trivedi outlined the agenda and the mutual benefits envisioned.

Since assuming office in June, Trivedi has pursued an active diplomatic schedule, including a meeting the previous day with Tourism Minister M. Rasheduzzaman Millat. That discussion centered on enhancing air services, expanding cargo capacity, and promoting tourism, further illustrating the comprehensive nature of the India‑Bangladesh relationship.
