Belgium’s Defence Minister bridges India‑Japan dialogue with heartfelt message

Belgium’s Defence and Trade Minister Theo Francken played a key role in relaying Japan’s Defence Minister Shinzo Koizumi’s greetings to India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The gesture was made public after Francken’s visit to New Delhi on September 3, where he met Singh for a bilateral review of defence ties.

Francken’s presence facilitated a smooth flow of communication, allowing the Japanese minister to express his wish for stronger cooperation. Singh thanked the Belgian minister for the conduit and reiterated that his planned visit to Japan will aim at expanding joint projects and deepening mutual security commitments.
