BLA Claims Economic Blockade as Hundreds of Vehicles Set Ablaze
The Baloch Liberation Army announced an “economic blockade” aimed at halting the flow of goods through Balochistan’s major arteries. Following the proclamation, insurgents seized control of several highways and ignited over 200 transport vehicles, including mineral‑laden trucks.
The attacks were coordinated with simultaneous ambushes on security convoys. In one incident near the N‑40 highway close to Killi Battu, a large Pakistani army convoy protected by bullet‑proof vehicles and police personnel came under fire. Several soldiers were reported killed, although exact numbers remain unverified.
A police vehicle escorting the Deputy Commissioner also entered the conflict zone, but officials stated that no injuries were sustained.
