BLA Threatens Economic Blockade as Death Toll Reaches 25 in Recent Attacks

The Baluch Liberation Army (BLA) has warned of a strict economic blockade across Baluchistan after two recent operations that killed a total of 25 Pakistani soldiers. The first strike at Jiarat Cross saw the militants ambush a convoy, destroying two vehicles and killing 18 troops. The second attack in Surab’s Hajika area involved a remotely detonated explosive vehicle that eliminated seven more soldiers.

In a statement, the BLA said it will intensify highway blockades on the province’s main trade routes and target any vehicle or project that supports the Pakistani army’s economic interests. The group also announced a complete halt to ration and essential supplies for the army in the Jamaran region and surrounding areas.

Local drivers, contractors and traders have been urged to refrain from assisting the “occupying” forces, with the BLA threatening full responsibility for any loss of life or property caused by non‑compliance. The organization pledged to continue its campaign until it achieves what it calls "national liberation" for Baluchistan.

These threats come after the BLA claimed responsibility for 36 operations in the previous month, which it said resulted in 33 enemy soldiers killed and numerous injuries.
