BRICS calls for stronger representation of developing nations in global governance

The New Delhi Declaration urges a broader representation of the Global South in the United Nations, especially in the Security Council, and calls for comprehensive reforms of that body. It recognises the legitimate aspirations expressed in Africa’s "Ezulwini Consensus" and "Sirté Declaration". The bloc also welcomes China’s zero‑tariff initiative for 53 African countries and stresses the importance of inclusive development agendas, ranging from health and energy transition to artificial intelligence and digital connectivity.
