Calls for Strengthening Rural Revitalisation at Ninth Chinese Farmer Festival

Beijing, September 22 – At the ninth Chinese Farmer Crop Festival, President Xi Jinping used the platform to reaffirm the Party’s commitment to rural revitalisation. Speaking on behalf of the CPC Central Committee, Xi extended warm wishes to farmers and to the officials engaged in the "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" work.

He reported that China’s summer grain output has climbed to a new peak, while early‑season rice production has held firm. The president forecast a plentiful autumn harvest, underscoring the nation’s food‑security achievements.

Xi urged all CPC committees and governmental bodies to translate the Central Committee’s directives into concrete actions. He highlighted the importance of improving policy effectiveness, boosting agricultural productivity, and ensuring that farmers reap greater benefits. The president also called for the creation of villages that are suitable for living, working, and enjoying, tailored to local conditions, to raise the overall well‑being of the rural population.
