Canada Responds with Counter-Tariffs, Promises Dollar‑for‑Dollar Retaliation

Facing the new U.S. tariff proposals, Ottawa announced a series of retaliatory duties ranging from 15% to 50% on American goods, covering steel, dairy, appliances, agricultural machinery, pulp and paper, electronics, furniture and textiles.
