Civilian casualties rise as Russian attacks hit warehouses and logistics hubs in Kyiv

In a devastating escalation, Russian forces fired a combination of 24 ballistic missiles, four "Zircon/Oniks" cruise missiles and a fleet of over 115 drones into the heart of Kyiv. The strike devastated civilian infrastructure, including a major warehouse used for food distribution, a railway station and a logistics centre that supports ordinary commerce. The attack resulted in 17 civilian deaths and injured around 44 people. Zelenskyy highlighted that the missiles could have been intercepted by advanced anti‑missile systems, stressing that faster delivery of such interceptors is essential to protect innocent lives.
