A fierce gun battle in Balochistan’s Barkhan district resulted in the deaths of four Baloch fighters on Friday. The confrontation, which lasted several hours, occurred in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil. The Baloch fighters engaged in a heavy exchange of fire with a pro-government armed group. The deceased have been identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their bodies were transported to a Rakni hospital. The opposing group involved is alleged to be a state-backed militia. Despite the severity of the incident, Pakistani authorities have not issued any official statements. In a separate incident, intense fighting was reported in the Spilinji area of Mastung district during a military operation by Pakistani forces. Heavy gunfire and explosions were heard. Casualties were reported on both sides, but the exact number remains unknown. Armed Baloch groups have a history of conflict in the region, and these recent events highlight the ongoing tensions.
