A fierce gun battle in Balochistan’s Barkhan district resulted in the deaths of four Baloch fighters. The confrontation, which occurred in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil on Friday, involved a ‘state-backed’ armed group and lasted for several hours. Residents reported heavy weaponry being used during the intense exchange of fire. The deceased have been identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their bodies were later taken to a hospital in Rakni. In a separate incident, Pakistani forces conducted a military operation in the Spilinji area of Mastung district, leading to heavy fighting. Casualties were reported on both sides, though the exact numbers remain unconfirmed. Armed Baloch groups have a history of conflict with state forces, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the region.
