An American Airlines flight at Denver Airport was the scene of a dramatic evacuation on Saturday afternoon. A malfunction in the landing gear of the aircraft caused a fire, prompting the immediate evacuation of all passengers and crew. Footage of the incident captured smoke billowing from the runway moments before the planned departure. The flight, AA3023, was preparing for its journey to Miami when the issue arose. All 173 passengers and six crew members were safely removed from the Boeing 737 MAX 8. While five individuals were assessed at the scene, only one required further medical attention due to a minor injury. The distressing scene included passengers sliding to safety as flames engulfed the plane’s landing gear. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the plane was scheduled to leave from gate C34 at 1:12 pm, but reported a ‘possible landing gear incident’ near runway 34L around 2:45 pm.
