Deputy Commissioner orders 30‑day detention of PTI leader’s sister

A formal order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore instructed law‑enforcement agencies to keep Alima Khan in custody for up to thirty days. The order, dated 20 September, referenced the legal provisions that permit such detention.

The same directive also mentioned the arrest of Muhammad Amir, directing that he be placed under the custody of the superintendent of the Central Jail, Kot Lakhpat. Both detainees were granted the right to challenge the order before the provincial government. The decree came just days before PTI’s planned mass rally demanding the release of its founder.
