The meeting between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska was perceived as a victory for Putin. The world views Putin as the victor of this encounter, primarily because Trump appeared to concede to Putin’s demands. Putin’s display of power during the 5-hour Alaska visit was evident. Putin strategically maneuvered Trump, leading the former president to openly support Putin’s agenda. The core question now is: if Trump aligns with Putin, what will be the outcome of the war?
During the meeting, Putin mentioned that he and Trump maintained direct communication. Trump acknowledged that his relationship with President Putin had always been excellent, describing their meeting as successful and noting agreement on numerous issues.
In Alaska, Donald Trump was caught in the diplomatic web of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin’s plan succeeded in drawing Trump to his side. A follow-up meeting has already been scheduled in Moscow.
Putin’s strategic moves have not only swayed Trump but also bought time to seize Ukrainian territory. At Trump’s invitation, Putin arrived in Alaska, where the historic meeting and peace talks commenced. Consequently, Trump will neither impose new sanctions on Russia nor take any stringent measures. Putin and his forces have gained a window of opportunity, which allows them to intensify their operation in Ukraine. This implies that a war that could threaten Ukraine’s existence might precede any peace treaty.
Following the meeting, Trump declared that he would not take any immediate action against Russia or countries trading with Russia for the next 2 to 3 weeks. This timeframe is considered a victory for Putin. The most significant aspect was Putin’s ability to get Trump to agree to every condition. Putin does not desire a ceasefire, but a permanent peace treaty, and Trump is prepared to proceed with it.
What transpired during the Putin-Trump meeting?
* Putin seeks a permanent solution, not a ceasefire.
* Putin urged Trump to find a permanent resolution.
* Putin wants a permanent peace treaty with Ukraine.
* Trump agreed with Putin and supports the treaty.
* Putin and Trump agreed to draft a peace treaty.
* They are prepared to negotiate the draft of a permanent peace treaty.
It is clear that unless a permanent peace treaty is established, a ceasefire will not occur, and if there is no ceasefire, Russian attacks will intensify. The Russian army will continue to occupy Ukrainian territories. Putin stated in front of Trump that all of Russia’s concerns, i.e., all conditions, must be considered. This means that a permanent peace treaty will only happen if all of Russia’s conditions are met.
If the conditions are not met, and a permanent peace treaty is not reached, the scope of destruction will expand, meaning Putin has obtained a license to destroy and occupy Ukraine without any restrictions.
Russia Intensifies Attacks on Ukraine
Moreover, with Trump’s support and a license to ravage Ukraine, the Russian forces have initiated a barrage of attacks in the battlefield. In Lyman, Russia decimated a Ukrainian military unit with a massive attack. In Kupyansk, Russian attacks destroyed seven Ukrainian weapons systems. The Russian army has seized control of seven additional regions in Donetsk. The Russian army has also hoisted the victory flag in a city in Dnipro. In Kharkiv, Russia destroyed a Ukrainian command post. Within 24 hours, 1310 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the Russian attacks.
According to reports, the Russian army is readying for a massive offensive in Ukraine, anticipated to occur in the middle of the night. The Russian army has deployed forces across multiple fronts for this offensive.
Ukrainian Army Retaliates, Angered by the Attacks
Reacting to the outcomes of the Alaska talks and the Russian army’s fierce attacks, Zelenskyy and his forces are deeply enraged. In the wake of Putin’s triumph in Alaska and Zelenskyy’s defeat, the Ukrainian army has begun exploding on Russian soil. The Ukrainian army simultaneously detonated drones across eight Russian provinces. The blasts led to the burning of several vehicles. The explosions are suspected to be caused by Ukrainian drone attacks.
The Ukrainian attacks set fire to a Russian arms factory in Ryazan, causing 11 fatalities and injuring 130 people. The Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian military base in Belgorod. A Russian weapons depot was destroyed in Volgograd. Multiple buildings were demolished in Rostov due to Ukrainian drone explosions. Ukraine set fire to a Russian radar station in Kursk. Ukraine launched a series of explosions in Astrakhan, resulting in fires in numerous buildings. Ukraine attacked Grozny, destroying two military vehicles.
These Ukrainian attacks on Russia are a result of Zelenskyy’s outrage, as Ukraine knows it has no choice but to surrender. If Zelenskyy does not surrender, if the permanent peace treaty is not signed, Russia will be given the opportunity to occupy a large part of Ukraine.
