A paramilitary organization launched a drone strike on a mosque in Al-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur, Sudan, early Friday. The attack resulted in the deaths of 43 civilians who were praying. The Sudan Doctors Network reported on X that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drone attack also killed several elderly people and children.
The Sudan Doctors Network condemned the attack as a heinous crime against unarmed civilians, stating it demonstrated the (paramilitary) organization’s blatant disregard for humanitarian and religious values, as well as international law.
