Pakistan’s attempt to spread misinformation regarding Indian Rafale jets has been decisively exposed by the French Navy. A prominent Pakistani media outlet, Geo TV, published a report on November 21st falsely claiming that a French naval officer confirmed Pakistan’s air superiority and that Indian Rafale aircraft were shot down during Operation Sindoor. This operation was India’s response to terrorist attacks. However, the French Navy issued a strong public statement, refuting the report’s claims of fabricated quotes and incorrect officer attribution. They clarified that the alleged French commander, Captain Yvan Launay, never provided any such statements for publication, highlighting ‘extensive misinformation and disinformation’ in the Pakistani article. The report also inaccurately named the officer as ‘Jacques Launay,’ further undermining its credibility. The French Navy’s direct rebuttal has dismantled Pakistan’s fabricated narrative, revealing it as a manufactured story intended to humiliate India and mislead the public.
