His death, attributed to pancreatic cancer, was announced on his official Instagram account, where he was remembered for his warmth and unwavering belief in the goodness of people. Caprio presided over thousands of cases in Providence before transitioning to a television career. His distinctive courtroom style produced memorable viral moments, including inviting children to sit with him at the bench.
