Freedom of expression and potential protests marked Bhagwat’s high‑profile tour

Mohan Bhagwat’s United States itinerary, announced for August 26, reflects both the RSS’s centennial milestone and the organization’s desire to communicate its stance on free speech. Sikh‑American representative Jasdeep Singh Jassi emphasized that the American environment allows even controversial groups to present their viewpoints openly.

Jassi noted that while some U.S. factions disagree with the RSS’s philosophy, the upcoming events—including a large gathering at Madison Square Garden—will provide a venue for dialogue. He cautioned that demonstrations are expected, citing America’s legal right to protest.
