The violent incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Dixon Drive in a rural area of Robeson County, where an estimated 150 people had gathered for a party. Deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots fired, arriving to a scene of chaos. The crowd had dispersed, leaving behind numerous vehicles, debris, and evidence of the shooting. Sheriff Burnis Wilkins stated that the incident, believed to be an isolated event, has deeply affected the community. Homicide investigators were on site throughout the morning, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. As of Saturday afternoon, no arrests have been made, and the identities of the deceased victims are being withheld.
