Hamas Suffers Major Loss as Israel Eliminates New Military Chief

Israel says it has killed Mohammad Odeh, the newly appointed head of Hamas’s armed wing, in a coordinated strike on multiple sites in Gaza City. The operation, executed by IDF and Shin Bet units, targeted buildings where Odeh was believed to be meeting with other operatives. According to Israeli statements, Odeh played a key role in planning the October 7 assault and had been overseeing recent rocket and ambush operations against Israeli forces. His elimination comes less than a week after he assumed command, leaving the group once again without a top military strategist. Gaza-based sources confirmed that Odeh’s family members were also among the casualties.
