The Israeli Prime Minister has unveiled a new plan to dismantle Hamas. Last week, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced his intention to occupy the entirety of Gaza. This proposal has also been approved by the Israeli cabinet. However, the international community is widely condemning Israel’s plan, with concerns that Netanyahu’s strategy could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Israel’s military has already seized control of 75% of Gaza. The remaining area houses displaced Palestinians in densely populated areas, where Israel believes Hamas’s last stronghold, Al-Mawasi, is situated. Netanyahu discussed capturing this stronghold with Donald Trump during a phone call.
