Human Rights Groups Demand Probe after Deadly FC Operation in Khuzdar

Quetta, September 11 – A Frontier Corps raid in Vadh, Khuzdar district resulted in the deaths of four civilians and left numerous others wounded. The incident, reported by local media on Friday, has drawn condemnation from several human‑rights NGOs. Baloch Voice for Justice called for an independent investigation, stating that the killing of non‑combatants in a residential neighbourhood must be examined without interference. The group alleged that the episode is part of a continuing pattern of extrajudicial killings, collective fines and state‑sanctioned oppression targeting the Baloch population. Sabihah Baloch, leader of the Baloch Yakejati Committee, posted on social media that the Vadh raid is another example of the military’s disregard for civilian lives, especially children. She referenced a recent incident in Mastung’s Karadagap tehsil where FC shelling killed four people, including a mother and two girls, and later caused the death of a six‑year‑old child in hospital. International observers have been urged to pressure Pakistan to ensure civilian protection and hold the perpetrators accountable.
