India‑Belgium Diamond Trade Deepens After EU‑India FTA Signing

The India Diamond Bourse, a flagship of the Indian diamond ecosystem, hosted Belgium’s Prime Minister shortly after the India‑EU Free Trade Agreement entered into force. Officials highlighted that the agreement will accelerate collaboration in cutting, polishing and jewellery design, building on a partnership that began over a hundred years ago. Anup Mehta, president of IDB, noted that many Indian traders have already made Antwerp their second home, creating a seamless flow of stones between the two hubs.
