During a High-Level International Conference at the United Nations on Tuesday, India’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, emphasized the necessity of a ‘two-state solution’ to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. He urged for meaningful dialogue and diplomatic efforts to facilitate discussions between the involved parties. Harish highlighted the persistent humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, stating that humanitarian aid must remain separate from political considerations and conflict. India advocates for an immediate ceasefire, sustained humanitarian assistance, the release of all hostages, and the pursuit of dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasized the need for unobstructed aid delivery to Gaza, including essential supplies. India expressed its readiness to contribute to achieving peace and calm in the Middle East, focusing on tangible solutions for the Palestinian people, and has recognized the State of Palestine with firm support.
