India Offers Medical Aid and Training to Caribbean Partners

Health sector cooperation formed a key part of the New York talks. Minister Jai Shankar announced that India had organized artificial‑organ implantation camps, donated haemodialysis units, and supplied compact medical "Bhisma Cube" units to several CARICOM members.

The Bhisma Cube is a portable hospital system designed for rapid deployment in disaster‑affected zones, providing critical care where traditional infrastructure is lacking.

In addition to equipment, India extended offers for specialized training programmes, inviting Caribbean health officials to attend courses in advanced medical technologies and emergency response.

These initiatives aim to strengthen the resilience of Caribbean health systems while showcasing India's commitment to humanitarian assistance.
