India strongly criticized Pakistan at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for making provocative statements against India. Indian diplomat Kshitij Tyagi addressed the council, focusing on Pakistan’s internal issues. Tyagi pointed out the Pakistani military’s attacks on civilians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stated that Pakistan should prioritize saving its struggling economy, a task that is difficult when the nation is preoccupied with bombing its own citizens.
India accused Pakistan of abusing the platform by making baseless and inflammatory statements against India. Counselor Kshitij Tyagi, representing India’s Permanent Mission in Geneva, addressed the 60th session of the Human Rights Council. He stated that Pakistan should focus on saving its ailing economy, reforming its military-dominated politics, and addressing its poor human rights record. Tyagi remarked that the Pakistani delegation, acting in complete opposition to these principles, consistently misused the forum with groundless and provocative statements targeting India.
