India‑Uzbekistan Trade Goal of $5 bn by 2030 Stressed by PM

Modi marked the 15th anniversary of the strategic partnership, now upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, by highlighting economic milestones. Bilateral trade has already crossed the $1 billion mark, and both sides aim to push the figure to $5 billion by 2030. To achieve this, they will focus on market access, connectivity, banking and payment systems, as well as joint infrastructure projects. An agreement on traditional medicine was also signed to broaden cooperation beyond capital‑city level.
