Joint Indo‑Egypt PassEX Exercise Strengthens Maritime Ties

In a bid to consolidate maritime friendship, INS Trishul and Egypt's INS Barnis performed a PassEX drill in Alexandria harbour. The exercise focused on coordinated navigation, communications and seamanship skills. Senior officers from both navies discussed ways to improve interoperability and expand future collaborative missions, underscoring the strategic importance of Indian‑Egyptian naval partnership in the Red Sea and the broader Indian Ocean region.
