India’s indigenous Kaal Bhairav drone has achieved a significant milestone, securing a silver medal at the 23rd International Exhibition of Innovations 2025 in Zagreb, Croatia. This achievement underscores India’s rapidly advancing capabilities in defense technology and positions it as a growing power in the global drone market. The Kaal Bhairav E2A2, an AI-powered, autonomous combat drone, represents a major leap forward for Indian military innovation. Developed entirely by Flying Wedge Defense and Aerospace, this Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) drone boasts an impressive flight duration of 30 hours and a range of 3,000 km. Its advanced onboard systems autonomously manage mission planning, targeting, and even coordinated swarm attacks, demonstrating a high level of operational autonomy. The drone is designed for ruggedness and adaptability, featuring a multi-sensor setup for precise, multi-directional strikes. Its resilience against signal jamming allows it to complete missions even under adverse conditions.
