India voted in favor of a resolution at the UN General Assembly that supports a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian issue and the two-state (two-country) plan. This resolution, also known as the New York Declaration, was introduced by France and supported by 142 countries, including India. Ten countries voted against the resolution, while 12 abstained. Argentina, Hungary, Israel, the United States, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, and Tonga voted against the proposal.
