International aid flows to Nepal after catastrophic landslide‑flood

In the wake of the deadly flood, Nepal has coordinated relief operations with a broad coalition of countries and multilateral agencies. India and China dispatched technical teams on the first day to conduct aerial surveys and assess the damage. Their experts worked alongside Nepali engineers and the army to clear debris and stabilize the affected zones.

Prime Minister Shah acknowledged the indispensable role of foreign assistance, naming India, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Switzerland, Singapore, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as key partners. He also thanked the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, the European Union and the United Nations for financial and logistical support. Shah stressed that continued global solidarity is essential to rebuild communities and mitigate future climate‑driven disasters.
