Iran Claims Destruction of US Radar and Weapon Sites Across Three Countries

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it carried out a series of counter‑strikes on July 17 against U.S. assets in Syria, Kuwait and Oman as part of the ongoing Nasr‑2 campaign. According to the IRGC, the Syrian operation struck a U.S. Special Forces command centre located in the al‑Tanif district.

In Kuwait, the IRGC reported that a missile‑defence monitoring radar, several ammunition depots, two HIMARS launchers and a number of missiles were hit, sparking a severe fire at a base where American forces are stationed.

The Iranian force also announced that it had neutralised an Omani naval surveillance radar on the Salmah plateau and an air‑surveillance radar in the Ghanam area, effectively removing both from operation.

Kuwait’s army confirmed that its air‑defence network is actively engaging hostile missile and drone attacks and urged the civilian population to follow official safety guidelines.

Later statements from the IRGC said that additional strikes were launched against U.S. military installations in Bahrain and Jordan, targeting infrastructure, aircraft shelters and strategic drones, including facilities that housed F‑15, F‑16, F‑35 fighters and MQ‑9 unmanned aircraft.
