A senior Iranian commander, Mohsen Rezaei, has stated that Pakistan has assured Iran of a nuclear response against Israel if Israel uses nuclear weapons against Iran. During an interview on Iranian state television, Rezaei, a member of Iran’s National Security Council, claimed Pakistan conveyed this assurance. Pakistan has not officially commented on the claim but maintains strong diplomatic ties with Iran, referring to it as a ‘brotherly nation.’ Rezaei also suggested Iran possesses capabilities yet unknown to the world. Separately, former US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about a deal between Iran and Israel, drawing parallels to his efforts to bring peace between India and Pakistan. Trump’s statement was made on Truth Social, where he highlighted his past diplomatic interventions and predicted a forthcoming peace agreement between the two nations.
