Iranian foreign ministry calls U.S. Houthis allegation unfounded

In a brief message posted early Thursday, Ismail Baghiai rejected the United States’ narrative that the Houthis act on behalf of Iran. He stressed that the Yemeni rebels decide their own strategies and do not serve any foreign power. Baghiai blamed American interference for deepening the crisis and suggested that a reduction in external pressure would be the first step toward a sustainable settlement. He reiterated that diplomatic negotiations, built on existing agreements, are the only viable path to peace.
