Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi criticized Israel, referring to the United States as its ‘Daddy’ following the Iranian missile attack. Araghchi’s comments, made on X (formerly Twitter), stated that Israel ‘had NO CHOICE but to RUN to “Daddy” to avoid being flattened by our Missiles.’ He also cautioned the United States against disrespecting Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei if it seeks a deal.
Araghchi emphasized Iran’s independence and resolve in a post, highlighting the nation’s history of resilience and self-determination. He warned that threats and insults would not be tolerated, and that Iran would not hesitate to reveal its capabilities if provoked. The remarks followed a post by former U.S. President Donald Trump, where he accused Khamenei of lying about winning the war against Israel and claimed to have saved him from death.
Trump’s post on Truth Social described his intervention to prevent an attack on Tehran and his belief that Iran and the U.S. would engage in talks soon, declaring the Middle East war over.
