IRGC Claims Attack on ‘Trend’ After It Tried to Use Prohibited Route

In a statement to Sepah News, the IRGC navy described the Trend as having ignited after a direct attack by Iranian forces. The navy said the vessel was attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz via a forbidden corridor south of the waterway, a move it labeled illegal. The IRGC reiterated its control over the strait and warned that no aggressor would be allowed passage.
