The Israeli Foreign Ministry has refuted accusations of mistreating Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg during her detention, labeling the allegations as ‘ludicrous and baseless.’ In a statement, the ministry asserted that claims originating from the Hamas-Sumud flotilla are untrue and that all detainees were afforded their full legal rights. The ministry further stated that Thunberg and other detainees chose to extend their stay while in custody. The ministry highlighted that Thunberg did not lodge any complaints regarding the alleged mistreatment.
